Training Assistance
Thank you for your interest in JOB1 Career Services Training Assistance Program. JOB1 is uniquely positioned to assist residents with their employment and training needs, as eligible/suitable participants can receive up to $8,000.00 in scholarship assistance funds. The following guidance and information is presented to assist you in completing the required pre-enrollment steps for the JOB1 Training Assistance Program.
To get started, please follow the steps below. For each step, there is a corresponding attachment.
Complete the JOB1 Triage Form (here) in its entirety.
If you do not already have one, sign up for a HiRE account at www.laworks.net.
Instructions for creating a HiRE Account are found here.
If you have a Resume, please make sure that your resume is uploaded to the “Resume Builder” tab in HIRE.

Please complete the following assessments.

If you have any challenges in completing the required steps, you can visit the JOB1 Center on Fridays between 9am and 12pm.
Once you have successfully completed all five of the required pre-enrollment steps, please visit the Membership Department at the JOB1 Center (1307 Oretha Castle Haley Blvd.) to learn more about the enrollment eligibility process and next steps.
Please note: All training assistance is based upon available funding and is intended to be dollars of last resort. Each individual is assessed based on their specific individual situation. Training funding is not guaranteed.
